Have you ever wished
that you could be in touch with one of your classmates from long ago,
but cannot find them? Well, the Nasson Alumni Association has a service
that might help you do just that. This article is being written to let
you know the procedures that we go through to find Alumni.
Usually we first look at all the tools that we have right here at the
Heritage Center. For example: the mailing list, yearbooks, the 1982
Nasson College Alumni Directory and memorabilia that our archivist
might have. We also use the web (whitepages.com) for addresses and phone
numbers.
Our next step is getting in touch with the person being sought. Sometimes
we make a telephone call and end up having a great chat about Nasson,
which is very exciting! Something that you need to know is that we have
a very strict Privacy Policy in that we get in touch with the person
being sought, and get permission to give that information out to the
person searching.
We sometimes will discover that the person being sought is not on our
mailing list and we have found another Alumnus! We then put a package
together and mail it to them to get them up to par with all the wonderful
things that are happening here at the Nasson Alumni Association.
The packages contain:
1. The latest copy of The Lion Speaks
2. President's Letter (most recent)
3. The Nasson Community Center Brochure
4. Our remittance envelope
5. Form for them to fill out with all their new info and envelope to
send back to us.
